Fractadelic Garden by Denis McCauley (Tenui)

Programs: Vue d'Esprit, Sterlingware, L-System, DofoZon Elite (+ Tiera-Zon, Xaos, Chaos Pro, The Gimp for textures)

There are 82 3d objects in this picture and apart from the three mushrooms and the moon they're all 3d fractals. The lake and the sculptural elements in it were created from a Sterlinware Karl Geigl fractal, the land forms are Vue d'Esprit fractal terrains, and the vegetation was created from l-system fractals from L-System and DofoZon Elite. The L-system objects are in fact groups of objects; l-system files quickly become too large to import into 3d programs, so I used fairly simple forms and some mutations on these to create the groups. All the textures apart from the sky were created from fractal images from Fractal Explorer, Sterlingware, DofoZon Elite, Tiera-Zon, Xaos, and Chaos Pro. I used The Gimp to create tiles from the original fractal images then used the tiles to created "materials", as they're called in Vue d'Esprit.
