Let's have a break.
The result so far may or may not be very special yet, but you will have practised and laid a basis for the next steps. You will have noticed an image can change completely by the use of layers and filters.
So far we used only one layer, but of course we might use more. Every layer can be put in another mode and can be made more or less transparant using the transparancy slider bars.
IMPORTANT: Always investigate all possibilities you encounter, that way you discover most. Move slider bars from one end to the other, search the extremes to find out what is possible and look at the results. When you don't get what you hoped for or expected, better toss it away, even if you already invested a lot of time. This way you get the best results. Then again, you could save your result and have a look again later on... Sometimes a little distance brings more appreciation for one's own work.
